Wickham Festival is a 4-day music & arts festival held every August in a stunningly beautiful rural location near the historic village of Wickham in Hampshire. With live music on four stages plus a host of other entertainment, Wickham is rated by many as one of the safest, most relaxed and family-friendly festivals in the UK.
This year's Wickham Festival is still going ahead as planned… even if the Government delay Step 4 of their roadmap out of lockdown on July 19. The festival has always planned to be able to run within ‘Stage 3’ rules if need be. It has more than doubled the size of its arena so there’s loads more room; they have added an outdoor main stage with video screens so there’s plenty of room for socially distanced seating if required; and they've put all the necessary COVID procedures and systems in place for a safe and COVID-secure Festival.
There will be plenty of hand sanitiser points, one-way systems, extra cleaning measures, loads more toilets (most of them single occupancy) and plenty of fresh air!
Guests include Van Morrison, The Waterboys, Capercaillie, Eddi Reader, Lindisfarne, Seth Lakeman, Show Of Hands, Eliza Carthy & The Restitute Band, Peatbog Faeries, Talisk, Duncan Chisholm, The Young'Uns, Martin Simpson, Old Blind Dogs, Chris Wood and many, many more.
