The distinctive voice of Margie Sinclair was at the heart of Mirk's sound.

MIRK, from Caithness, were one of Scotland's most respected folk groups, even though distance made their appearances less frequent than most would like. They ran a folk club in Thurso, and also the legendary Thurso Folk Festival. If you made the long journey north to that Festival - count yourself privileged.  The distinctive voice of Margie Sinclair was at the heart of Mirk's sound, accompanied by the fiddle of her husband Ian Sinclair, and the bouzouki of Ray Crompton. On this recording Margie and Ian were joined by Brian Miller.

This recording is part of The Living Tradition Archive and is presented here for your enjoyment and as part of the process of documenting and indexing this archive. Feedback is welcome.
