Ar Log @ Kilmarnock Folk Club, 1978

The original 1976 members were Dave Burns (guitar), Dafydd Roberts (triple harp, flute), Gwyndaf Roberts (knee harp and bass) and Iolo Jones (fiddle).

Ar Log @ Kilmarnock Folk Club, 1978 - 2026 sees Ar Log, from Wales, celebrating their 50 Years as a group with an extensive concert tour. This recording of their appearance at Kilmarnock Folk Club is now around 48 years old, so clearly captures them at an early stage of their musical journey.

The original 1976 members were Dave Burns (guitar), Dafydd Roberts (triple harp, flute), Gwyndaf Roberts (knee harp and bass) and Iolo Jones (fiddle). The four individuals were brought together by the Welsh Committee of the Lorient Festival who were eager that a Welsh traditional group should represent the nation at that year's Interceltique festival in Lorient. There they met The Dubliners, who suggested that they should stay together and turn professional.
